Fine hair dries fast, but it also scorches and goes flat easily. A dryer that blasts at full heat and speed can leave it frizzy at the ends and limp at the roots. What helps is control: lower heat steps you can actually choose, gentle air or scalp modes, and a smoothing nozzle that polishes without forcing hair flat. This guide compares dryers that state those features. We looked at the lowest heat figure where given, any gentle or scalp mode, the smoothing and styling attachments in the box, and wattage. Lower wattage is not automatically better for fine hair, so we treat it as context rather than a score. Where a maker does not publish temperatures, we say so, because guessing would not help you choose.
