Shark Glam: heated ceramic plus airflow

The Shark Glam is a different take on the multi-styler. Instead of relying only on airflow, its Silki and Glossi tools add heat-controlled ceramic surfaces to the air, so it behaves partly like a straightener and partly like a hot brush. It is pitched at people who want a glossy, sleek finish that ordinary air stylers can struggle to deliver, while keeping auto-wrap curlers and a diffuser for curls.

Our take

Ceramic plus air: what the listing describes

Shark says the Silki tool pairs heat-controlled ceramic with high-speed airflow to give a smooth finish on wet or dry hair, with up to twice the shine. The Glossi Hot Tool and Air Glosser is described as a high gloss blow-dry tool that smooths, stretches and adds bounce without frizz, again on wet or dry hair.

Gloss Lock Technology is the third shine claim, said to seal in gloss on dry hair so styles last all day. The listing marks these with asterisks but the footnotes are not reproduced, so the comparison basis is not visible.

Curlers, diffuser and the rest of the kit

Alongside the ceramic tools you get auto-wrap curlers, a curl-defining diffuser and a styling concentrator, plus a storage case. The spec table also lists a FrizzFighter tool among the included components. Curler diameters are not given on this listing.

Rated power is 1,500 W with three speeds and four settings. The 1.83 kg figure in the spec table reads like the packed weight, since the stated dimensions are tiny and clearly refer to something other than the full set.

Who gets the most from it

Hair that frizzes easily or looks dull after a standard blow-dry is the obvious target, because the ceramic tools are aimed squarely at shine. The diffuser keeps it useful for curly hair too. If you never straighten and only want loose curls, the extra ceramic heads may sit unused.

Glam versus FlexStyle and IonCurl

The Shark FlexStyle 5-in-1 is an air-only kit with a twist-to-dry body, curlers and brushes. The Shark FlexStyle IonCurl adds ions, CoandaBoost and a FrizzFighter polisher but no ceramic plates. The Glam is the one to pick in Shark's range if heated contact for sleekness is the priority. Outside Shark, the Dreame AirStyle Era offers a straightening nozzle as an air-based alternative.

Verdict

Choose the Shark Glam if shine and a sleek finish matter more to you than a pure air approach, and you still want curlers and a diffuser. If you prefer air-only styling, the Shark FlexStyle IonCurl or the Dreame AirStyle Era covers curls and smoothing without ceramic heat.
