The Panasonic EH-NA7M is a compact, folding dryer for people who want Panasonic's nanoe care in a smaller, simpler package. At a stated 490 g, it is one of the lighter conventional dryers in our comparisons, and the folding handle makes it easy to pack. It suits fine hair and travel use, where a light body and a gentle finish count for more than a big attachment set.

Our take
Nanoe on a smaller dryer
Panasonic says nanoe delivers ultra-fine water particles to hydrate hair and scalp for a shiny, frizz-free finish. Unlike the EH-NA9N, this model does not list mineral ions or special care modes. It keeps the core nanoe system and enhanced airflow, which Panasonic says reduces wind loss and raises air pressure for faster drying.
Rated power is 1,600 W and three settings are listed.
Controls and attachments
A thumb-friendly control allows one-button operation, which is handy when the other hand is holding a brush. A quick dry nozzle is built in and a concentrator is included for focused drying. There is no diffuser, so curly hair owners would need another option.
The listing does not state heat levels, cable length or noise.
Weight, folding and fine hair
At 490 g it is lighter than the Panasonic EH-NA9N at 500 g and much lighter than the Shark SpeedStyle Pro at 662 g, though heavier than brushless rivals such as the Laifen Swift Special at 407 g. The folding handle reduces its footprint in a bag or drawer.
Fine hair often looks best with gentle, even drying, and nanoe's moisture claim is aimed at reducing static and frizz. Anyone who dries a full head of long, thick hair may find a 1,600 W nanoe dryer slower than high-wattage salon models, so the EH-NA7M fits best for shorter, finer hair or as a second dryer for trips. Its compact size also suits a small bathroom shelf.
EH-NA7M against EH-NA9N and Laifen Swift Special
The Panasonic EH-NA9N adds mineral ions, two temperature sensors, care modes and a diffuser for a little more weight. The Laifen Swift Special uses a 110,000 RPM brushless motor and includes three magnetic nozzles in a lighter body. The EH-NA7M is the simpler, compact nanoe option.
Verdict
Choose the EH-NA7M if you want a light, folding nanoe dryer for fine hair or travel. If you need a diffuser and care modes, the Panasonic EH-NA9N is the fuller choice, and for faster high-speed drying in an even lighter body, the Laifen Swift Special is the one to compare.
