Our take
Motor, speed and heat control
Laifen quotes a 110,000 RPM high-speed motor producing 22 m/s air speeds. Smart Temperature Control monitors heat 100 times per second to keep hair from overheating. A three-colour LED shows the temperature setting at a glance, so you can see whether you are on a hot, warm or cool setting without guessing.
Rated power is 1,600 W and the spec table lists four settings. The 200 million negative ions are said to fight frizz and flyaways and help water evaporate faster, cutting drying time and heat exposure.
What is in the gift box
The box contains the Premium dryer, a smooth nozzle and a magnetic wall mount. There is no diffuser and no concentrator listed, which is the main difference from the Swift Special. If you dry curly hair, you would need to buy a diffuser separately.
Weight is listed at 600 g, heavier than the 407 g quoted for the Swift Special. As a present, the box and mount add presentation value that a bare dryer lacks.
